What Is CNC Milling?

CNC milling is a specific form of CNC machining. Milling is a process similar to both drilling and cutting, and is able to achieve many of the operations performed by cutting and drilling machines. Like drilling, milling uses a rotating cylindrical cutting tool.

Design for Manufacturing

Design for Manufacturing (DFM) is a set of principles and practices for optimizing the design of a product to enhance its manufacturability and efficiency in the production process. In addition to meeting the functional needs and intended purpose of the product, DFM also takes into consideration the ease of manufacturing, assembly and overall production cost. Learn More

5th-axis Milling

5th-axis milling refers to the machining process in which a cutting tool moves along five different axes to create complex and intricate three-dimensional shapes. In traditional milling, only three axes (X, Y, and Z) are involved, allowing for movement in a linear fashion along these axes. However, 5th-axis milling introduces two additional rotational axes, typically referred to as A and B. Learn More
